Posted in Home Remedies on April 5th, 2009 – 1 CommentHaving a clear skin is every woman’s pride. Unfortunately not every one is endowed with a clear skin. But there is no need to feel dejected either because it is not difficult to deal with acne.
One must know that acne is the result of toxins and other infectious bacteria that surfaces at the pores on the face
There are some home remedies which can help you get rid of acne.
1. Castor Oil. This is a widely used home remedy to be applied to the face at bed time and left overnight. Take care when applying the castor oil not to rub it into the whole face at one time including the acne as well.
Take care first to apply the oil on the unaffected parts of the face. After you have rubbed in the oil on the clear portions of the face then apply the oil on the acne separately. Take care not to use the same finger for the different spots.
Wash the oil off with warm water the next morning.
2. Cucumber. This is a very cooling and effective remedy which can be used every evening before bed time and washed off after about thirty minutes.
The cucumber should be cut in slices and then each slice rubbed over the acne gently. The juices from the cucumber help detoxify the skin and clean the pores and rid you of the acne.
3. Garlic. Garlic is one of the most preferred home remedies because of its antibiotic properties which is helpful in killing the acne causing bacteria that surface to the pores of the skin.
The garlic needs to be crushed to a paste with a little water as necessary and then applied on the face. The paste should be left on for about fifteen minutes before rinsing out with warm water.
The only drawback about garlic is the foul smell.
By far each of these home remedies is easily accessible because of its ready availability in the house.
